Drilled-down analysis: Process of obtaining more details about a solution provided a DSS.
Optimisation: Approach to decision support that involves finding the best solution.
Satisficing: An approach to decision support that involves finding a good but not necessarily the best solution to a problem.
Heuristics: Commonly accepted guidelines or procedures that will usually find a good solution.
