Microsoft Office Live - assisted by Emily Lai
What is it?Microsoft Office Live is a "place to save, access, and share documents and files". It is also a new type of information system. Microsoft Office Live can be accessed wherever there is an internet connection whether or not it is installed on the computer . It is also free and can save up to 5GB worth of files/images/documents etc.
Impact of something this worldwide :)The impact of Microsoft Office Live is that it can help people to accesss files and work on them without having to go to all the trouble of creating multiple copies or sending numerous emails of a document. Also it helps make it easier to work on a single document without having to go through the hassle of waiting for one person to finish updating the document.
Another impact of Microsoft Office Live is that it saves people the trouble of buying thumb drives (or USBs). This can save money, even though it is a small amount. It also saves the person from physically moving from place to place sharing files if they don't have email.
Another part of Microsoft Office Live is that it also provides security as documents can only be accessed if a person has the authorization to do so.
Impact on workforce:
- Don't really need external technicians to install and fix software
- Every bussiness would need a high capacity internet and a computer

Data Types
Hellooo..
yes anyhoo haven't been writing in this, thought we didn't have to. However, I shall and what we have been doing in class is creating excel spread sheets which display marks, salary paid and how many hours had been worked - all in all varying degrees of difficulty.
Yes.
Now we have been creating a powerpoint which details the different data types - and examples - that are available to used over the computer. We included:
Text types - .doc, .txt, difference between rich and plain text
Audio types - .mp3, .midi, .mid, .wav
Video types - .flv, .mp4, .avi
Number types - ....
Image types - .jpg, .gif, .png, .tiff
Yeah that's pretty much it for now..
